Dormancy: A New Phase
Dearest citizens,
There are times in life when you have to make some difficult decisions. Choosing between following your passions, or sticking to a conventional path. Getting away from the noise and stepping into silence. Making tough decisions everyday, or not making them. Sometimes, the difficult decision is not choosing one of two painful options, but choosing one and having to reduce your time on the other. That is, taking the risk of losing the second thing.
Recently, I had to make that choice. In my final year of college, I’m choosing to focus on my academics, and writing as a side project. I am a writer, and I know that what I’m trying to build, with the midnight blueprint: a place that shows people like me how to build their dream lives while leading ordinary ones, could take years to become something concrete. It’s not a goal, but a way of life for me. A part of who I am. The same way writing is.
Hence, I will not completely stop posting for the midnight blueprint nor my writing while I’m focused on my studies, because I know the phase I’m in is a part of the process I’m trying to evaluate and test for those that would come to this point after me. But my posting frequency will decrease for the midnight blueprint, but you will still see me posting truths and productivity/experiential strategies I use to get through this phase of building. The one I call: dormancy. When a seed seems to not be growing but it’s internally developing rapidly. As for my writing, my stories will be updated every week with an episode. If there will be any changes to that schedule, it will be uploaded on my profile.
Finally, we all have duties, responsibilities, and commitments that need more of our attention during certain times than they would during others. And that is ok. Because building something meaningful sometimes means building it slowly, or coming back to it once you’re in a better headspace to focus on it without running from something you are responsible for. Not procrastinating, just refocusing temporarily.
You’ll see me, dormant but growing.
Good luck citizens.
The Midnight Architect,
Signing off.
