Hacking the dopamine cycle
This post is for anyone who ends up scrolling or resorting to another bad habit instead of working when the work is too stressful, boring, or much. Im going to explain whats going on in your head when you do that (in context to procrastinating a task), and how to hack the cycle in order to get things done without feeling like shit doing it. High achievers, perfectionists, and highly motivated people struggle with procrastination. Sounds like a lie, but it isn’t, because procrastination comes from a source of discomfort that comes from caring too much. ->a source of discomfort causes stress; causing the release of cortisol which induces a…

Constantly telling a woman who isn’t ready to chase her dreams that she should be is the same as reprimanding an independent woman for grinding in the office everyday Asking a friend who cannot read the room or register your emotions to be there for you is the same as telling a deep friend to keep it light. Telling a fun parent to be harder on their child is the same as telling an overprotective one to let go more. And yet, we continue to…

post-collapse
From rubble to vision, rebuilding isn’t pretty. It’s messy, blunt, and full of mistakes; but every step makes you stronger, and this is what it looks like.

An opportunity
I could see the train from a mile away, and I could hear it soon too. Its lights sparkled like stars, its eyes, and the little window at its front was so blurred I could only make out the outline of someone sitting on the other side of it. All I knew was that it was loud and slow. And winding down a long long track from a long long way away. It was almost near me now, I was on the platform, peeking at it like a curious kid, as rain pounded on its top, drenching the monster. Now I could see the bald man in the neon green…
